Trusty Ultra 60 sold
Yesterday, I sold my trusty Sun Ultra 60 after owning it for 6 or 7 years. Can’t remember if I got it in 2000 or in 2001. I got it in fall, that I do remember.
The box definitely found a good home — with a fellow geek that is looking forward to experimenting with Solaris on SPARC hardware. Way to go, my little box.

Hi markus,
Your image of the Sun box has convinced me that I have found the right ‘markus’ :-). Some time ago you maintained a Solaris package for slrn:
http://www.blastwave.org/packages.php/slrn
The slrn project has been revived under John E. Davis and on August 17th version 0.9.9 has been released. My own connection with the project is the web site:
http://slrn.sourceforge.net
which I have rewritten. My question is: would you be interested in continuing your work with slrn and producing a package for Solaris? This could easily be hosted on the slrn website if required.
I have otherwise enjoyed reading through your website. I share your passionate hatred of spammers :-).
All the best,
Andrew Strong

Hi Andrew,
Yep, you have found the right Markus Mayer. And I still have a SPARC box at home (a Blade 2000 now).
Yes, I am interested providing slrn packages for Solaris. However, there are currently some issues going with Blastwave, as you may already be awaer. So I am not quite sure yet how I am going to provide these packages.
I’ll also send you an e-mail so we can discuss things further.
